Reverie
Moonlight secrets on dewy golf course greens, talking
of what used to be at nine and ten, climbing trees and
playing pretend. Lost in talks of how we grew
up too fast and wanting to fall back in time, this youth
was not meant to last. Thirty around the corner, an
end in sight, wishing there was a way to suspend the
night. Stuck in a loop of summoned memories,
crushed leaves and grapefruit water— But it’s all
make believe, just another lost reverie.
